An all day show and tell in Milwaukee.

Yes, these are light switch covers.
I decided to doctor them up.

The above is a portrait of my shop,
with a couple of the nighttime visitors.
 Boxes.

 Bracelets.

 Copper, sterling, cold connection
 Personal protectors, in progress.
The BurgerGuy was just completed.

The trout is just nice.

I'll be showing and telling from noon until 7PM in Milwaukee
on May 13th at the opening of the new unique, JewelersGuild,

"Ready to Build", oil painting

It's the only angle with which
the reflections of the wet paint
weren't quite so bad.
When it's really dry and varnished,
I'll get it photographed properly.
(It's 14" high and 18" wide,
on linen, on board)

chased, repoussed, cold connection, self portrait

(photographing shiny things is difficult)
I don't make jewelry.
I don't wear much jewelry,
but sometimes I just can't help but make something I need..

Personal Filters

I made me a set of personal filters.
Residing close to my ears,
they will listen and hear
whatever comes off the radio,
out of speakers, out of mouths,
hearing everything within earshot
in all my surroundings.
They will hear it all.
Absorbing all,
before any of it has a chance to reach MY ears.
They will filter out all bad,
all lies,
and all disturbing noise.
I suppose that's why they have already disturbed expressions.
Better on their faces than mine.

I've been wearing them now for a good half a day,
and I have to say, I think they work!

Early Man

First printed about December 11th, 2016, scanned by Picture Salon January 23, 2017
This 18.5 x 14.25" print
is printed by hand onto 20.5" x 17" Kitakata paper.
It's a tight fit onto the paper, but it does fit well.
Not a fan of matting, because it many times reminds me of too tight underwear,
I would float this.
It is the first of 12 that I've got lined up to keep me out of trouble.

"CHAOS MOUNTAIN" painting by Linda Kelen

This 8" x 8" oil painting
will be among many other canvases
from which you will be able to select one for yourself,
Oil on canvas, entitled "Chaos Mountain".
It was intended to be given to this fun raising event in 2015,
but I was not ready to part with it then.
I actually painted two of them.
This was the second painting, and actually the better painting.
The first one, for me, is the real place.

Originally, for this coming 2017 event,
I was going to offer the "Serpent's Tail", below,
but decided "Chaos Mountain" was more appropriate for this time.
