Holiday Tick Cards!

I'm making holiday cards.
They will travel in French Paper Company Envelopes.
I'm making a lot of them.
I put these three up on Ebay just to see what happens.

Christmas Story

Oh, dear! It is Christmas Eve!
I've done NOTHING but draw for money$, which is good...
BUT, also good
was bringing the Rooster back from a hopeful adaption,
thinking he would have a better life elsewhere.

A high end coop with gorgeous chickens didn't interest him.
Nor did the company of alpacas at the far end of the field.

Two weeks...he made no friends,
refused to roost in the coop or trees.
Sooner or later he'd be eaten by coyotes who would find him sleeping alone in the fields.

I slipped his harness on, and we got into the car.

He let me know he was happy to be under my arm as we drove home...
he carefully preened the hair that stuck out my hat.

We'll share a pomegranate for Christmas.

Metro Elves...Santa's Helpers...a Holiday reposting.

One year I painted an "Elves Shop Here" sign for the local gallery/art supply shop
MetropolitanArt, which, sadly, no longer is.
The TownPeople were not believers and challenged such a statement....
so, I took pictures.
These are my "photographs" of the actual Elves that annually came from the North
to use the gallery as their workshop.
No one said another word.
Elf tries to save time

"Jeb is pleased to see Elves use white gloves...leaving no finger prints on paper."
Elves wear gloves
"These elves lost their shopping list...."
Some Elves are forgetful
"Elves love cookies."

Elves love cookies
"Mega, (studio dog)........................................Metro Elf rides Studio Dogis a handy mode of transportation."

"Some Elves are too short."
"After a successful shopping spree...
Elves carry the last of their supplies out to the sleigh....(parked around the corner)."
