This is only about 1/12 of the block.

Not yet completely cut 

and going slow because I seem to be drawing it as I go,

changing my mind, adding things, eliminating things,

not following "the plan"

which makes it rather more challenging than normal,

but OH, so much more interesting.

Prints will b available and dry by the Fall Art Tour.

FALL ART TOUR !

The Cedarburg Art Museum now has a selection of the small whiteline prints.

 
This year, I'm Artist # 21 on the FALL ART TOUR.

Since 27 of my works are in the 
Cedarburg Art Museum 
until November 8th when the show closes,
I printed little bits of the more detailed blocks
just for this weekend.

It's done. 

This is one which will be in the Cedarburg Art Museum show.

This first one, is print #2, off the "hotel room" block.

13.75" x 21" is just off the block

and needs flattening,

and a good photograph.

I'm letting the Cross Plains Main Street Reconstruction Survival Map rest for a bit,

so I uncovered this block which has been waiting for me. 

I will be teaching

 Whiteline Woodblock Printmaking again this year at the Peninsula School of Art.

Guenzel Gallery Print Fair

"In conjunction with the Guenzel Gallery exhibition, Out of the Woods, 

join us for a free print fair with participating artist Linda Kelen 

and create a small woodblock print.

 It's happening this coming Saturday in Fish Creek...

Door County, Wisconsin...

so I've been cutting wood and printing the blocks as fast as I can 

to show what's possible to do in a short amount of time. 
I'm using 1/4" and 3/8" Shina Plywood.

I'll post them here as I finish them.

An ExLibris print 

seems (to me) to be a perfect end goal 

for whomever might want to pick up a knife.

 So.....we'll see what happens.
