Natural foods TeeShirt
I'm experimenting with Zazzle.
They've done excellent work for the Public Domain Review
and I wonder what they would do with one of my drawings.
So, here, for a TeeShirt of your choosing,
hopefully I've set it up correctly,
I know the words are a little hard to read on their site,
when you want to see what you're getting,
so I typed them into the description.
I want to believe their capabilities will carry my work.
So, we'll find out!

Where one might see eagles.
This is one of the places in Sauk where one would see eagles,
if the eagles were around.

chased, repoussed, honeybee in progress
Wondering how to finish a few pieces,
I began experimenting with an unfinished honeybee.
Needless to say,
I got carried away into a completely different direction.
There will be more.

chased and repoussed things
Fish
on bikes
showed up in my Cross Plains Road Construction Survival Map,
and so,
in answer to requests for them to be REAL,
I've been busy.
There will be more.
with a homemade pin back I fashioned with spring wire.
I"ll get better photos a little later.
(I changed the look of this one with some new chemistry.
The previous photo is more like what it is.
I just have to learn how to take better pictures of shiny things)

8" X 8" painting
I'm way overloaded. I wasn't thinking, and agreed to do an 8" canvas
for Mineral Point's Shake Rag Alley Art Lottery in the Lind Pavillion.
So I did one painting.
Not what anyone probably wanted,
but if I'm doing it for free, to give away,
for someone to be assigned it
as their prize for buying a $50.00 ticket
whether they want it or not,
I'm doing what I feel like at that particular time.
Well,
I couldn't see giving it away.
Not this one.
Not to be a prize for someone who may not want it,
condemning it to a garage nail on a dark wall
where mice might nest on the stretcher
between canvas and wall,
until years later the pissed stained canvas aroma
results in it being tossed into the bottom of a cardboard box
that will carry a leaky garbage bag to the dump
protecting the car trunk from being
saturated with the seepy composting juices
and to be tossed out with the trashes???
Nope.
I'm keeping this one.
So, I painted another one.
Damn.
Can't give this one away either.
So, after learning that the Lind Pavillion is because of John Lind,
now feeling a NEED to offer up something if only for him and Carla,
on September 30th, on a third 8" canvas,
I challenged myself to paint one in the time left between 2PM and sundown.
I did it.
I will give this one away.
It exists solely to be given away
to be the prize for someone who bought a $50.00 ticket.
I attached a note telling the tale of why it exists
and stated that if the new owners find they do not enjoy my painting,
they should contact me.
I will be happy to take it back!
(OK, yes, I still have a hard time letting go of my works.)

Twenty-nine of my pieces are on exhibition
with the spectacular works of S.V. Medaris and Ray Gloeckler.
It's a good, strong show.
Twenty-five miles north of Milwaukee, it's well worth a visit.
The show will be up through November 8th.

drawings
Two are framed and hanging in the show at CrossRoads Coffeehouse,
in Cross Plains, Wisconsin through September 10th.
The others are growing in numbers safe in my drawers.
Yes, the road construction has become unbelievable, but it's quite managable.
I'll try to update my Road Construction Survival Map
so you can get there
without fear of being headed to Canada,
scooped up by machines,
or lost forever in the Caverns of Hwy 23.
The others are beginning to grow in numbers in my drawers.
